Usage:
- A/V/N-(으)ㄴ/는/(으)ㄹ 줄 몰랐다 : Express something that speaker was not aware of or did not anticipate.
- A/V/N-(으)ㄴ/는/(으)ㄹ 줄 알았다 : Express the speaker’s realization that his/her assumption was incorrect.

Did you see Mary’s husband?

- Did Mary get married? I didn't know she got married. I thought that she wasn't married.

3. 나미 씨가 일본 사람인 줄 몰랐어요. 한국 사람인 줄 알았어요.

I didn't know that Nami was a Japanese. I thought that she was a Korean.

4. 바람이 많이 불어서 날씨가 추운 줄 알았어요.  그런데 밖에 나오니까 춥지 않아요.

The wind was blowing so strong I thought it was cold. But now I am outside, it isn't cold.

5. 친구와 통화 중인 줄 몰랐어요. 조용히 할게요.

I didn't know that you are calling your friend. I will be silent.

6. 아침에 날씨가 흐려서 비가 올 줄 알았어요.

It was cloudy in the morning, so I thought that it will rain.

7. 두 사람이 헤어진 줄 몰랐어요. 계속 사귀는 줄 알았어요.

I didn't know the two broke up. I thought they are dating.

8. 한국말이 이렇게 어려운 줄 몰랐어요.
I didn't know Korean is this difficult.

9. 저 사람이 니 남자친구인지 몰랐어.
I didn't know that person is your boyfriend.

10. 우리가 다시 만날 줄 몰랐어요.
I didn't know we will meet again.
